ANOMALITH unlocks on PS5 28 October 2026 at 15:00 UTC — 11:00 on the US east coast, 23:00 in Beijing, midnight in Tokyo. It costs $49.99 standard or $69.99 Digital Deluxe, and PS Plus members get 10% off either edition until the unlock moment. A physical Launch Edition disc follows on 12 November for $59.99.

The PS Plus discount is the real launch price

The PlayStation Store applies a 10% reduction for subscribers that takes the standard edition to $44.99 and the Digital Deluxe to $62.99, with the window closing at 15:00 UTC on 28 October — the same moment the game unlocks.

That is the cheapest legitimate route to the game anywhere at launch. It is also the reason the PS5 version undercuts Steam for the first week, before any Steam sale appears.

Two dates, one game

The digital game and the disc are separate purchases with separate dates. Digital unlocks on 28 October. The boxed Launch Edition does not exist until 12 November, and it is sold by NIS America rather than FuRyu.

A PS5 owner therefore has three choices: buy digitally at launch, buy the Digital Deluxe for the bonus content and the 48-hour early-access window, or wait two weeks for a disc with the same DLC on it.

What the PlayStation Store adds

Preordering on PS5 attaches two store-specific items to the standard collaboration bonus: the Blue Powered Suit outfit and the Anomaly Zone Investigator Set (A), a consumable pack with five small sedatives, three grenades and twenty handgun rounds.

The Lost Property Control Organization collaboration set comes with every preorder regardless of platform. The Powered Suit set is the PlayStation-only part.

The 48-hour early access

Digital Deluxe preorders on PS5 include 48 hours of early access. With the global unlock at 15:00 UTC on 28 October, that window opens two days earlier, on 26 October.

That is the only way to play before launch, and it belongs to the Deluxe edition rather than the standard one. Neither the standard digital edition nor the disc includes it.

The physical disc

The Launch Edition is $59.99, arrives 12 November, and includes the game plus the collaboration mission, four outfit sets, three weapons and three consumable packs. It is PS5 only, with no Western Switch 2 equivalent.

For buyers outside the US, specialist retailers carry it in local currency — Video Games Plus in Canada lists the same box at CAD $79.99. The disc is a normal Blu-ray, not a key card.

Controller, features and platform support

The PS5 build supports the DualSense, and the platform listing confirms one player, PlayStation Network features and the full language set: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, with Japanese voice acting.

There is no PS4 version. The game ships on PS5, Switch 2 and PC, and no cross-generation release has been announced — which also means a PS4 owner has no route into the game on PlayStation hardware.

Is the PS5 version the one to buy?

If you want a Western disc, PS5 is the only option. If you want the cheapest launch price, PS Plus members pay $44.99 here and nowhere else. If you want the Digital Deluxe extras and a head start, this is also the only platform where the 48-hour window exists.

The version to skip is the middle one: paying $59.99 for a disc that arrives two weeks late only makes sense if the box itself is the point. Otherwise the discounted digital edition on 28 October is the better buy.

What the game itself contains

Every edition ships the same content: a single-player campaign, twelve Anomalization skills, more than 200 investigation reports, and over 300 outfit pieces across nine body parts. There is no PS5-exclusive mission or mode.

The loop is Dive, Retrieve, Return — enter an Anomaly Zone, manage a grid inventory and scarce ammunition, and get back to base before you lose what you are carrying. Nothing about that changes on this platform.

Language and voice

The PS5 build carries the full five-language set: English, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese, with Japanese voice acting. That matches the Steam listing and the Asian package.

If you need English audio rather than subtitles, this is a subtitled release. The voice track is Japanese, which is why the subtitles carry so much of the story for an English-speaking player.

The Digital Deluxe, line by line

The $69.99 version adds an 80-page digital art book, a selection of mini-soundtrack tracks and the Countermeasures Office DLC set: the Armed Schoolgirl outfit triple combo, a semi-automatic sniper rifle, a double-barrelled shotgun, a prototype handgun and a consumable pack.

With PS Plus the same edition costs $62.99 before launch. That is $3 more than the physical Launch Edition, which includes the same DLC set but not the art book or the soundtrack.

What the disc gives you that the download does not

A box, a Blu-ray, and the ability to resell the game later. The DLC attached to the Launch Edition stays with the account that redeemed it, so a second-hand buyer gets the base game rather than the full package.

There is no offline advantage: the game is a single-player title, and both versions install to the SSD in the same way.

Buying before launch versus on the day

Before 15:00 UTC on 28 October, a PS Plus member pays $44.99 and gets the collaboration set. After that moment, the same person pays $49.99 and the collaboration set is gone.

That is a $5 difference plus a cosmetic bundle, which is the entire case for preordering on PlayStation. If neither matters, waiting costs nothing but the bonus.

What the PS5 version does not have

No PS4 release, no cross-generation save, and no separate PS5-exclusive content. The game is a current-generation title, and the PS5 build is the same game as the PC and Switch 2 versions.

That matters if you are weighing a console purchase against a PC one: the only differences are the disc, the PS Plus price and the DualSense, not the content.

The one thing a PS5 buyer should check before launch is the language line on their regional store page, since the five-language set is the same everywhere and a shorter list means a different release.
